About this Psyduck
The card
Psyduck 65/82 is a common from Team Rocket, released by Wizards of the Coast on 24 April 2000. Mitsuhiro Arita drew it: Psyduck clutching its head with its eyes shut, just as the Pokédex text on the card describes it, "as if it were suffering from a headache". Its first attack, Dizziness, draws a card, and costs a Psychic Energy although Psyduck is a Water Pokémon.
This copy is the 1st Edition print, from the set's first run. The card was printed again in Legendary Collection in 2002, as 88/110.
Team Rocket and Arita
Team Rocket introduced Dark Pokémon, and in this set Psyduck evolves into Dark Golduck, also drawn by Arita. Arita has worked on the card game since its prototype stage: he designed its first six Energy symbols and painted the Base Set Charizard.
The grade
The card is more than 25 years old, and PSA still graded it 9, Mint: a superb card with one minor flaw at most, such as slightly off-white borders or a small printing imperfection. Only Gem Mint 10 is higher. Look up cert 54094139 on PSA's website.
