About this Mega Gengar ex
The card
Mega Gengar ex 056/094 is the regular print of Mega Gengar ex in Phantasmal Flames, the second main set of the Mega Evolution series, released on 14 November 2025. It is a Double Rare in the standard Pokémon ex frame, where the Pokémon breaks out of its illustration window; the yellow name and the rainbow banner mark it as a Mega. The art is by 5ban Graphics, and Pokémon's own article on the set describes it well: red, green and black energy swirls around Gengar, and its wicked grin says it is ready to cause mischief.
It is a 350 HP Darkness Pokémon that evolves from Haunter. Its Ability, Shadowy Concealment, means your opponent takes one Prize card fewer when one of your Darkness Pokémon is Knocked Out by an attack from their Pokémon ex. Its attack, Void Gale, does 230.
Phantasmal Flames
The set is led by Mega Charizard X ex and centres on Fire and Darkness Pokémon. It has no full-art Mega Gengar ex: those came later, in Ascended Heroes. In Japan this card came out first, in a starter set built around Mega Gengar ex.
The grade
PSA graded this copy Gem Mint 10, the top of its scale: a virtually perfect card, with sharp corners, sharp focus and its full original gloss. The cert can be checked on PSA's website.
