About this Charizard
The card
Charizard RC5/RC32 is from the Radiant Collection, a 32-card subset of Generations, the special expansion released on 22 February 2016 for Pokémon's 20th anniversary. It was only printed as a foil card. The Radiant Collection cards first came out in Japan, in the PokéKyun Collection.
The art is by Akira Komayama and tells a story across three cards. On Charmander, RC3, a young boy is teased by his mischievous Charmander. On Charmeleon, RC4, the older boy and his Charmeleon are deep in conversation. On this card the boy has become a young man, and his Charizard shields him from the snow. Instead of a Pokédex entry, each of the three carries the boy's own words. This one reads: "No matter what happens, if we stick together, we can get past it. Forever and ever."
Generations
Generations was never sold in booster boxes: its packs only came in special anniversary products, such as the Elite Trainer Box and the Mythical Pokémon Collections. Its Radiant Collection was the second, after the one in Legendary Treasures in 2013.
The grade
PSA graded this copy 9, Mint: a superb card that may show one minor flaw, such as a slight printing imperfection or slightly off-white borders. Only Gem Mint 10 is higher. The cert can be checked on PSA's website.
