About this Mega Latias ex
The card
Mega Latias ex 181/132 is a Special Illustration Rare from Mega Evolution, the first set of the Mega Evolution series, released on 26 September 2025. AKIRA EGAWA drew it: Mega Latias soaring over a city skyline at night, surrounded by coloured lines that show off its speed, with the same colours repeated in the highlights and shadows across its body. The regular print (100/132) and the Ultra Rare (163/132) are by 5ban Graphics.
Latias does not evolve, so Mega Latias ex is a Basic Pokémon: a 280 HP Dragon type whose attack, Illusory Impulse, does 300 damage and discards all of its Energy.
Mega Evolution
The set brought Mega Evolution back to the card game, as Mega Evolution Pokémon ex that give up three Prize cards when they are Knocked Out. It has 188 cards, ten of them Special Illustration Rares. In Japan this art came out first, in Mega Symphonia, in August 2025.
The grade
PSA graded this copy 9, Mint: a superb card that may show one minor flaw, such as a slight printing imperfection or slightly off-white borders. Only Gem Mint 10 is higher. The cert can be checked on PSA's website.
