About this Zorua AR
The card
Zorua 140/086 is an Art Rare from White Flare, the Japanese set released on 6 June 2025 together with its twin, Black Bolt. The art is by Naoki Saito. The same illustration came out in English a few weeks later, in the English White Flare, as Illustration Rare 142/086; this copy is the Japanese print.
Zorua's Pokédex entry, from Pokémon Black, suits a Pokémon known for its illusions: "It changes into the forms of others to surprise them. Apparently, it often transforms into a silent child." Zorua and Zoroark were the first Pokémon of the Unova generation shown to the public, in February 2010.
Black Bolt and White Flare
Between them, the two sets cover all 156 Pokémon of Unova, and every Pokémon in them has an Art Rare or rarer version, 72 Art Rares in White Flare alone. White Flare is the Reshiram half, and the pair introduced a new top rarity, the Black White Rare. They were the last sets of the Scarlet & Violet era.
The grade
Beckett graded this copy 9.5, Gem Mint, on 3 September 2025. A Beckett grade comes with four subgrades, and the overall grade leans most on the lowest of them. This copy has two perfect 10s, for corners and edges, and 9.5 for centering and surface.
